A few weeks ago, my car was vandalized by idiots running through my neighborhood, causing destruction. Sadly, I was not the only victim, but thankfully, the damage to my car was minimal. However, my pumpkin was sacrificed in the process. Nothing is more pathetic than a smashed pumpkin. They are saddest looking things.

Much to my surprise, karma came back around in the best way. I returned home after a long weekend away and a beautifully painted pumpkin was sitting on my stoop. I almost cried. Its amazing sometimes how the smallest gestures can make the biggest impacts.

The pumpkin fairy is still a mystery, and really, I wouldn't have it any other way.
